Pick up from your Hotel in Moshi and start driving to Marangu gate about  one hour drive, clear all registrations and start trekking to Mandara Hut about 3-4 hours depending on how you walk, arrive Mandara with your lunch box then after lunch start descending to the gate 2-3 hours. After reaching to Mandara hut and you are still energetic you can have bonus walk to Maundi crater for the best view and picture taking.
